Former Ozzi Site - The Bond Company has received final approval for the Kildeer Marketplace a commercial planned development on the 8.3 acres on the northwest corner of Rand Rd/Plum Grove Rd for a 50,000sf Whole Foods (to be relocated from Palatine), 15,000 sq. ft. of in-line retail, and a 4,500 sq. ft. The Churchill Property - As reported in the prior newsletters, the Village had been presented with a concept proposal from developers for the 45+ acres at the northeast corner of Rt. 12/Cuba Rd., directly across from Atrium Garden Center, known for years as “the Churchill Property”. The concept included a Lowes and other inline retail, plus outlots. The property is the subject of a fifteen year old Intergovernmental/Boundary Agreement with the Village of Lake Zurich. The two villages were in discussions regarding possible amendments which would have included revenue sharing extensions, and the ultimate fate of the properties at the northwest and southwest corners of Route 22/Quentin. When the villages failed to reach agreement in a timely manner, the developers withdrew their petition and will not pursue the matter further. |
